Lead generation, and specifically lead generation marketing, is the process of identifying, defining and nurturing potentials customers to grow your business. Leads typically are classified into one of three categories:
Lead – Someone who has interacted with your brand or content but has not provided their phone number or indicated a pain/challenge
MQL – Marketing Qualified Leads have shared their phone number and indicated a pain but are still in the research phase and are not ready to engage in a sales process yet
SQL – Sales Qualified Leads have indicated interest in entering into a sales process.
