A Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) is someone who has indicated a need for your product or service to address a pain or challenge they are facing, and they have shown a desire to begin a sales process. This desire could be explicit or implied. An explicit indication would be completing a “Request a demo” form on your website or calling your office. Implied would be visiting your pricing page or your “Contact Us” page. Once a prospect becomes a SQL, they should be handed off from your marketing team to your sales team.
